Full Circle chronicles the first all-Black climbing expedition to summit Mount Everest, documenting both the physical demands of the climb and the deeply personal journeys of the climbers themselves. The film intimately follows a team of Black climbers - ranging from professional athletes to scholars, veterans, and community leaders - as they travel to Nepal, train, and attempt one of the most dangerous feats in the world. Led by veteran mountaineer Phil Henderson — who failed to summit the mountain ten years prior — the team arrives in Nepal carrying the weight of history and the unrealized dreams of generations before them on their backs.
The expedition is as much a spiritual pilgrimage as it is an athletic feat as climbers reach their breaking point, reckon between their limits and their dreams, some of them reaching a summit that represents something far greater than personal achievement. Full Circle is not just a climbing film. It is a story about belonging, resilience, and what it means to claim space — at 29,032 feet and everywhere below.
