The second installment of Netflix's African Queens, the Jada Pinkett Smith–produced docudrama franchise, Queen Cleopatra profiles Cleopatra VII — the last pharaoh of Egypt — reframing her not as the romanticized figure of popular culture but as a strategist and political force. Like the Njinga installment, it combines expert historical interviews with dramatic reenactment across four parts, and is narrated and executive produced by Pinkett Smith. It premiered on Netflix in May 2023, produced by Westbrook with Nutopia.
