OVERVIEW
The whole planet, end to end.
Pole to Pole with Will Smith is a landmark expedition series that follows Smith on a single continuous journey from the South Pole to the North – across all seven continents and through the planet's most extreme environments, from the icefields of Antarctica to the jungles of the Amazon, the Himalayas, and the ice of the Arctic. Across seven episodes, the series pairs genuine physical endurance with world-first science, placing Smith alongside the explorers, ecologists, and local communities who know these places best.
Five years in the making, the series is produced by Westbrook Studios with Nutopia and Protozoa for National Geographic – a reunion of the team behind Welcome to Earth, and a demonstration of Westbrook's reach in premium, globe-spanning documentary at the highest production tier. It premiered on National Geographic in January 2026, streaming on Disney+ globally and Hulu in the U.S.
